How Do I Go To the Galata Tower?
The best way to go to the Galata Tower is via the “Tünel”. The “Tünel” is a historical underground funicular line that has over 150 years of history and it is the second oldest subway system in the world. Take the funicular line F2 (Tünel) from “Karaköy”, which is on the T1 tram line, and once you get out of the funicular, turn right and walk down from “Galip Dede” street, full of colorful musical instrument shops. After a 5 min walk, you will see Galata Tower towering over the rest of the buildings on your right.
Little tip:
Since the Galata Tower is very close to Istiklal Street, you can combine visiting Istiklal Street with visiting the Galata Tower.
