Dolmabahçe Palace, the largest palace built by the Ottoman Empire, is a must-see historical site in Istanbul. To get to Dolmabahce Palace, simply take the tram line T1 and go to its last stop: Kabataş. Once you’re in Kabataş, you can walk to Dolmabahçe Palace in less than 5 mins.
If you’re coming from the Taksim area, it is even easier, since there is a funicular line F1, which goes directly from Taksim square down to Kabataş and then you can walk to the palace in less than 5 mins.
If you’re coming from Beşiktaş, simply walk from Beşiktaş to Dolmabahçe Palace in 20 mins or take any bus that is going towards Dolmabahçe direction from Beşiktaş.
